One of the cheapest ways to do this is Qunicy + a 2-0-0 alchemist. On Monkey Meadow, you can put down your free Dart monkey from knowledge (and hold off on upgrading it) and then drop Quincy without losing any hp on around R7. There are a couple of other towers that are hyper-efficient for specific tasks.
